Another favorite handicraft of Vietnam is the hand made fan. This fan is made of bamboo silk or paper and have gorgeous images painted on them. Some fans come with stands. The silk fans are a bit expensive and with the gorgeous images painted on them, they make a breathtaking show piece. Vietnamese fans are used in Vietnam to cool off the sweltering heat while abroad they are used as garnish pieces.

The attractive masks are a favorite handicraft of Vietnam as well. They are dissimilar brightly colored masks with dissimilar emotions painted on them. These masks are made of wood and carved out by hand. Vibrant colors are used in painting them; they mostly characterize characters from folk plays and theatre and often images of saints are painted too.

Silk paintings are perhaps the most favorite handicraft of Vietnam. Vietnam is known for its silk. Silk is called the national treasure of Vietnam and a lot of people are complicated in silk manufacture throughout Vietnam. The traditional hand looms have been replaced by modern power looms and the patterns are computerized. Silk is used for a lot of purposes such as the canvass for silk paintings, silk lanterns etc. Silk paintings come with white and colored black ground and have excellent images painted on them.
